At Westgate Veterinary Center, we offer endoscopy for our Avian and Exotic Pets as well as our dog and cat patients. Our 2.7mm rigid endoscope allows for visualization of internal organs of these usually very small pets. One small incision is made, allowing for quicker recovery and less risk of complications (as opposed to traditional surgery).
This less invasive procedure allows for biopsy of organs, which is often necessary in these pets to get an underlying diagnosis. The use of endoscopy, in many cases, avoids having to perform a traditional exploratory surgery.
