At Westgate Veterinary Center, we provide specialized medical services for a wide variety of exotic pet species. We constructed our hospital with the specialized needs of the various species in mind. Our "exotic pet" examination room is set away from the cat and dog rooms, which helps to decrease the stress on your exotic pet during a visit. We only allow exotic species into this room. In addition, we have an avian/exotic hospitalization ward fitted with several incubators for heat and humidity control, along with an oxygen source and capability to nebulize (administer saline and/or medications via inhalation) in this ward. It also has a separate exhaust system to avoid contamination and chemical/other odors which exotic species may be extra sensitive to.
The health of your exotic pet is our number one concern, and we are committed to providing education to our clients by counseling in person, providing written educational materials, and conducting periodic seminars regarding the health, general care, nutritional, and other special needs of these pets.
For your convenience, we also sell many of the diets and products that we recommend for exotic pets.
